This charming Victorian cottage was originally created as a quiet retreat for children and their caregivers by Park architect Calvert Vaux. In the 19th century, the Dairy became a source of fresh milk and snacks and families came to drink milk and enjoy pastries and ices and enjoy the cooling breezes coming from the nearby pond. It is now a Visitors Center offering maps, guides and gifts.
