Azalea Pond and Bridge

Azalea Pond gets its name from the century-old azalea plants that crown its southern edge.

The fiery pink blooms of the azaleas are a spectacular sight in the spring. With its rustic bridge and benches overlooking the water, the scenic area evokes the feel of the Adirondacks – the exact intent of the Park's designers. The pond is fed by a tumbling stream called the Gill. The area is one of the most active bird-watching spots in the Park. The Azalea Pond Rustic Bridge spans Azalea Pond and the Gill that flows down to the Lake.
